How to Add Recent Follower on OBS Studio

In the world of live streaming, engaging with your audience is crucial for building a loyal following. One way to show appreciation for your recent followers is by featuring them on your OBS Studio setup. In this article, we will guide you through the process of adding a recent follower to your OBS Studio screen. Whether you want to display their username, profile picture, or even a personalized message, we’ve got you covered.

Step 1: Access Your OBS Studio Settings

To begin, launch OBS Studio and navigate to the settings menu. You can do this by clicking on the gear icon located in the bottom-left corner of the OBS Studio interface. This will open a new window with various tabs for different settings.

Step 2: Go to the Sources Tab

In the settings window, click on the “Sources” tab. This tab displays all the sources currently being used in your OBS Studio scene. Sources can include images, videos, text, and more.

Step 3: Add a New Source

To add a recent follower to your OBS Studio screen, you’ll need to create a new source. Click on the “+” button located at the bottom of the Sources tab to add a new source. From the dropdown menu, select “Image” to create an image source.

Step 4: Choose the Follower’s Profile Picture

After selecting “Image,” a new window will open, allowing you to choose an image from your computer. Navigate to the follower’s profile picture and select it. Once the image is loaded, you can resize and position it as desired within the OBS Studio preview window.

Step 5: Add a Text Overlay

To display the follower’s username or any other message, you can add a text overlay. Click on the “+” button in the Sources tab again and select “Text.” This will create a new text source in your scene.

Step 6: Customize the Text Overlay

Double-click on the newly created text source to open the text properties. Here, you can customize the font, size, color, and alignment of the text. Enter the follower’s username or any other message you want to display.

Step 7: Position the Text Overlay

To position the text overlay next to the follower’s profile picture, click and drag the text source within the OBS Studio preview window. Adjust the position until it appears next to the image source.

Step 8: Add a Background to the Follower’s Profile

To make the follower’s profile stand out, you can add a background. Create a new image source by clicking on the “+” button in the Sources tab and selecting “Image.” Choose a background image that complements your stream’s theme.

Step 9: Position the Background and Follower’s Profile

Position the background image source behind the follower’s profile picture and text overlay. Adjust the size and position of both sources until they look cohesive within your OBS Studio scene.

Step 10: Save and Start Streaming

With your recent follower’s profile now displayed on your OBS Studio screen, save your scene and start streaming. Your audience will appreciate the personal touch, and you’ll be able to show your gratitude to your growing follower base.

By following these simple steps, you can easily add a recent follower to your OBS Studio setup and create a more engaging and interactive live streaming experience. Happy streaming!
